The PAAD Study : Physical Activity and Alzheimer's Disease (Health/Exercise)
Location: UNC Greensboro
UNCG is offering a free 8-month exercise program for people who qualify to take part in aresearch study. Interested individuals must be between 50-65 years of age and have a family history ofAlzheimer’s disease. The Enrichment Center Percussion Ensemble (Community Event)
Time: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Location: Children's Museum of Winston-Salem
The Enrichment Center Percussion Ensemble has performed across North Carolina and New York, and collaborated with a wide range of musicians, actors, dancers, and filmmakers, challenging audience expectations everywhere they go. The mission of the Enrichment Center is to empower and enrich adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities enabling them to grow as individuals, live with dignity and have choices in how they fulfill their lives.
Creating: Quilts and Crafts of the Lakota (Exhibit)
Time: 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Location: Museum of Anthropology, Wake Forest University
Twenty eye-dazzling quilts and 32 items of apparel and dance regalia made in traditional style by 20th-century Lakota artisans are on display in this exhibit. MOA shares the exhibit with Delta Arts Center, with each venue displaying about half of the quilts and crafts. Visitors should visit both museums for the complete experience. Admission is free.
