Winter Camp: South Pole Explorers (Childrens Event)
Time: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: Children's Museum of Winston-Salem

Let’s experiment with snow and ice to find out why the South Pole is so much colder than North Carolina. Once we know how ice works, we’ll use our scientific skills to make our own ice cream. Advance registration and program fee required. Register before these camps sell out!

Creating: Quilts and Crafts of the Lakota (Exhibit)
Time: 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Location: Museum of Anthropology, Wake Forest University

Twenty eye-dazzling quilts and 32 items of apparel and dance regalia made in traditional style by 20th-century Lakota artisans are on display in this exhibit. MOA shares the exhibit with Delta Arts Center, with each venue displaying about half of the quilts and crafts. Visitors should visit both museums for the complete experience. Admission is free.
