The PAAD Study : Physical Activity and Alzheimer's Disease (Health/Exercise)

UNCG is offering a free 8-month exercise program for people who qualify to take part in aresearch study. Interested individuals must be between 50-65 years of age and have a family history ofAlzheimer’s disease. Chinese Ceramics from the Changsha Kilns (Exhibit)
Time: 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Location: Museum of Anthropology, Wake Forest University
MOA’s new permanent exhibit provides an overview of the ceramics produced by families at the Changsha Kilns during the Tang Dynasty more than one thousand years ago. The exhibit puts Tang ceramics into their historical, geographic, and cultural context. The Tang Dynasty was a time of peace, prosperity, and acceptance in China, during which Changsha ceramics and other goods were traded to reach as far away as western Asia and Africa. The exhibit features more than 100 spectacular ceramic objects from the MOA’s Lam Collection. Open Tuesday to Saturday. Admission is free.
81st Annual Community "Messiah" Rehearsals (Church Event)

"Messiah" Rehearsals will begin Sunday, November 3, 2013, at First Baptist Church, 501 Spruce Street, Winston Salem for the Mozart Club's 81st annual presentation of this great work. Rehearsals will be Sundays from 2:30 to 4:30 and Tuesdays 7:00 to 9:00 thru December 6th. Dress rehearsal will be Saturday, December 7, at Reynolds Auditorium, and the performance is Sunday December 8, at 3 PM. No audition required, all singers welcome. Performance is Free. 40th Anniversary Music & Worship Service (Church Community Event)

In honor of Crisis Control Ministry’s 40th Anniversary, the world premiere of an original four-movement symphony by Dr. Michael Dodds, Associate for Music and Worship at First Presbyterian Church and Head of Music History at UNC School of the Arts, will be performed by a 70-person orchestra. An original anthem written by Dr. Robert Frazier, Director of Music and Arts at Centenary United Methodist Church, will be performed by area choirs. Reception to follow with light refreshments.
