Recent Additions to the Collection (Exhibit)

Location: Museum of Anthropology, Wake Forest University
The Museum of Anthropology showcases recent donations to its permanent collection with this exhibit featuring archaeological and ethnographic artifacts from cultures around the world. Highlights include intricately decorated personal adornment from Papua New Guinea, Tang Dynasty ceramics from China, and saddle rugs from the Salgo Collection. Admission is free. Open Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00am-4:30pm.
Fighting the Fires of Hate: America and the Nazi Book Burnings (Exhibit)

Location: Greensboro Historical Museum
The Greensboro Historical Museum is honored to present an exhibition from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. "Fighting the Fires of Hate: America and the Nazi Book Burnings." The exhibition provides a vivid look at the first steps the Nazis took to suppress freedom of expression, and the strong response that occurred in the United States both immediately and in the years thereafter.

What do Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt and Bill Clinton all have in common? A new display at the Greensboro Historical Museum illustrates that there have been at least eighteen U.S. President's who have stopped in the Gate City. Come visit the lobby display, our preview to the full display that will be on view on August 23, 2012. As always, all exhibitions at the museum are free for visitors.
